Now Enrolling
Children ages 18–36 months are naturally driven to be independent. At Montessori of Cedar Perk, our child-sized furniture and carefully prepared materials support this desire by allowing children to make choices, work independently, and experience success.
The order and consistency of the prepared environment help toddlers develop internal order, confidence, and a sense of security. Materials include built-in control of error, encouraging self-correction and building self-confidence.
Children engage in purposeful work that supports the whole child, including:
Movement
Climbing, sliding, stairs, pushing, pulling, jumping
Self-Care
Hand and face washing
Diapering to toileting
Dressing, undressing, and eating
Care of the Environment

Language & Practical Life
Language-rich interactions, poetry, and singing
Real-life object replicas and language cards

All activities are rooted in the core Montessori areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Culture, with environments designed specifically for this age group.
